Sixteen:One is pleased to presents Flying Saucer, Take Me Away, an installation by Jay Stuckey, opening January 13th and running through February 10th, 2007, with a reception for the artist, January 13th from 7-10pm.
Branching out from his traditional medium of drawing and painting, Jay Stuckey manages to maintain an underlying theme of sci-fi fantasy finding inspiration through music and travel. With drum cymbals and Theremins, Stuckey, has built his own Flying Saucers. Inspired by individules as varied as Carl Yung, Jasper John, and the band T-Rex Stuckey composes an installation of musical sculptures, which needs viewer interaction to complete the experience
